浄土宗西山禅林寺派僧侶、慈舟山瑞泉寺住職でイラストレーター。 京都のお寺をアトリエに、MacとAdobe Illustrator®を使い和ポップな絵を制作している。 1996年よりイラストレーションの仕事をはじめ、数々の書籍の装丁画や挿絵、絵本を手がける。2014年刊行の『世界でいちばん貧しい大統領のスピーチ』（汐文社）は15万部越えの大ベストセラー。 ベジェ曲線で描き出される日本の風物はどこか懐かしく新しい『和-POP』として世代を問わず親しまれている。

A priest of the Jodo sect, an illustrator of the Zenrinji sect of Nishiyama and Zuisenji. He uses a temple in Kyoto as an atelier and uses a Mac and Adobe Illustrator® to create Japanese pop painting. He started illustration in 1996 and has worked on many books such as picture on the cover of a book , illustrations, and picture books.

“Speech of the Poorest President in the World” (published by Chobunsha Publishing) published in 2014 is a bestseller with more than 150,000 copies. The Japanese tradition drawn by the Bezier curve is somewhat nostalgic, and it is popular across generations as a new “Wa-POP”.
